Tutorials and Diagnostic Tests
The original Chinese Pronunciation & Romanization diagnostic tests have been in continuous use at Brigham Young University and several other institutions for more than 20 years. Over the past year the authors have completely redesigned and reprogrammed the software. In the process they have added tutorial modues to help beginning Mandarin students learn the fundamentals of Pinyin romanization and tone discrimination.
Other features in planning and development:
- automated analysis of test results for student
- web-based analytical and tracking tools for instructors
- mobile app for tutorial and drill portions of P&R
Projected completion August 2014.
